Project Background
Amidst the challenges posed by the Covid pandemic, a pressing demand emerged for fostering personal connections among employees in globally dispersed remote teams. In response to this need, I embarked on a journey of crafting virtual games for teams across different companies over the course of a year.
As the world adapted to remote work arrangements, it became evident that a more comprehensive solution was required to facilitate meaningful daily interactions among employees. Hence, the idea for a dynamic virtual platform, designed to empower individuals to connect seamlessly, took shape based on feedback from numerous clients.
The pre-Covid era witnessed a traditional office setting where face-to-face meetings were commonplace, and building personal connections within the organization came naturally. However, with the transformative shift towards remote work, an inherent necessity arose to bridge the physical distance and establish a virtual nexus between people.
The Process
The Challenges
The primary challenge we encountered was the seamless transition from the physical realm to a virtual world. We aimed to create a platform that effectively bridged the gap for remote workers, even during prolonged periods of isolation, ensuring their active engagement and connection.
Another significant hurdle involved crafting an optimal user experience for organizational managers. Our objective was to design a platform that not only attracted initial usage but also encouraged repeated and sustained utilization.
The third challenge revolved around technology. As we undertook this project during a time when remote work technology was still nascent, we faced substantial obstacles in achieving technological differentiation. Despite these constraints, we persevered to find a solution that aligned with our goals while venturing into an emerging domain.

In crafting our platform, we focused on delivering an intuitive experience that streamlines organizational workflows and encourages meaningful connections.
Dashboard Mastery
Embark on a seamless organizational journey through our carefully designed Dashboard. Serving as your strategic hub, it offers a comprehensive view of organizational intricacies. From employee profiles to team leader insights and additional add-ons, the Dashboard is crafted for easy navigation through essential organizational facets.
Play Mode Engagement
Enter Play Mode, a dynamic sphere where distance is bridged seamlessly. Here, users not only interact but engage dynamically with platform content. Our aim is to transcend physical boundaries, making it effortless for individuals to connect and collaborate. Play Mode goes beyond being a feature; it’s an experiential arena where relationships flourish, and mutual understanding thrives.
UX/UI Solutions
Toggle Button Implementation
Challenge: Simplifying the transition between Dashboard and Play Mode.
Approach: User-tested various options, settling on an intuitive toggle button.
Solution: Implemented a sleek toggle button for seamless mode switching.
Impact: Enhanced user experience with a clear, efficient navigation solution.
Quick Access Menu
Challenge: Navigating users through extensive content within a lengthy page.
Approach: Conducted user journey analysis and implemented a Quick Access Menu for instant navigation.
Solution: Introduced a sleek, always-accessible menu to swiftly direct users to specific content sections.
Impact: Improved user engagement and satisfaction by streamlining content accessibility, resulting in quicker and more efficient navigation through the lengthy page.
Dynamic Form Labels
Challenge: Addressing user oversight in a lengthy “create new employee” form with forgettable text inputs.
Approach: Implemented dynamic form labels that populate with the required text as users begin typing.
Solution: Enhanced user awareness by displaying input requirements dynamically as users engage with the text field.
Impact: Improved form completion rates and user satisfaction by providing real-time guidance, reducing errors and enhancing the overall user experience.
The resulting platform encompassed a wide array of engaging features, such as virtual games, quizzes, introductory questions, as well as invaluable resources like team management tips, diverse training videos, and informative lectures. Each element was thoughtfully integrated to enhance user interaction and foster a sense of connection among remote teams.

Product Usage
In the year 2022, the Play-it Platform 2.0 witnessed remarkable adoption, with a substantial user base exceeding 10,000 monthly users. Among these users were esteemed companies like Check Point, Teva, ICL, Meta, and more than 100 thriving global startups, all of whom actively engaged with the product on a monthly basis.
The platform’s widespread usage among renowned organizations and emerging startups is a testament to its efficacy in meeting the diverse needs of teams working in remote environments. The consistent and substantial user engagement further underscored the platform’s value in fostering meaningful connections, enhancing productivity, and nurturing a sense of camaraderie within remote teams.
As we continue to observe the platform’s widespread adoption and positive impact, we are motivated to pursue further innovations and improvements, ensuring that Play-it remains at the forefront of empowering teams worldwide to succeed and thrive in the evolving landscape of remote work.
